Gym

The Hellenic Mediterranean University has a closed Indoor Gym “MARKOS KARANASTASIS”, which is located 5 km. from the city. The gym includes a basketball court, with a capacity of 1,800 seats, which can also be converted into volleyball and handball courts. It is used for various sporting events, such as competitions, martial arts seminars, gymnastics demonstrations and sports camps. In addition, the indoor sports center has a state-of-the-art gym, which operates daily (except weekends) from 15:00 to 21:30. Students who wish to participate in sports activities must obtain a sports ID card by presenting a certificate of studies, a medical certificate, two ID photos and a membership application.

Treatment and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)

The Hellenic Mediterranean University has a medical clinic located at its central premises, which provides primary health care and treatment to students and staff of the Institution. The clinic staff also provides first aid in case of emergency within the Institution during its opening hours.

For students who are uninsured and are going to participate in mobility programs in European Union countries (e.g. Socrates, Erasmus, Leonardo), the Department of Care & Social Welfare issues the European Health Insurance Card (E.K.A.A.). Students who have insurance must issue the E.K.A.A. through their insurance provider. In case of loss, destruction or other problem with the EKAA, students must submit a declaration provided by the Department of Care & Social Welfare.

Teaching and Learning Support Center

The Teaching and Learning Support Center (KEDIMA) of the Hellenic Mediterranean University (ELMEPA), which was founded in 2023, aims to support and continuously improve teaching through the use of information and communication technologies. The Center offers support to teachers and students, organizing lectures and seminars on modern educational trends and teaching techniques. In particular, seminars for students focus on the learning process and their personal development. In addition, seminars are offered for first-year students and newly admitted postgraduate students, focusing on Information and Communication Technologies in education. The central goal of KEDIMA is to equip students with the necessary tools for a successful academic career and to support teaching staff in their academic development.
