Admission Process

Requirements

Students are selected in accordance with Law 4957/2022 and the provisions of the Regulations for Postgraduate Studies. Candidates must be graduates of relevant departments of Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent institutions abroad (recognized by the OATAP).

The maximum admission limit is 25 students per year.

Criteria for Selection

  1. Degree level: 30%
  2. Thesis in the subject of the MSc (where there is): 20%, (if there is none, the degree can be up to 50%)
  3. Additional degrees or postgraduate qualifications: 10%
  4. Relevant professional experience: 10%
  5. Publications in the field of the MSc: 10%
  6. Excellent knowledge of English (C2): 10%
  7. Verbal interview: 10%

Call for Εxpression of Ιnterest

The call for expressions of interest is published ον time before the deadline for applications and contains all the necessary information:

  • Instructions for submitting applications.
  • The required qualifications and supporting documents.
  • The selection criteria.

Application files are valid only if they are complete and submitted within the deadline to the MSc Secretary.

Applications for admission to the MSc are evaluated once every academic year

Procedure for Submitting Applications

Interested candidates should submit a fully completed application file electronically to the secretary of the MSc, according to the announcement of the call for applications.

The File Shall Include:

  1. Application form (provided by the secretary).(Msc Admission Application link)
  2. Curriculum vitae with photo.
  3. Summary of the thesis or diploma (if prepared).
  4. A brief statement of scientific and professional interests and reasons for interest in postgraduate studies (Letter of Intent).
  5. A copy of your degree/diploma or certificate of completion of studies. If not available, the finalization is done after timely submission.
  6. Detailed grades of undergraduate studies.
  7. Certificate of equivalence/correspondence from OATAP (if required).
  8. Copies of any postgraduate qualifications (if there are any).
  9. Detailed grades of postgraduate studies (if there are any).
  10. Evidence of good knowledge of English language (level B2 as a minimum).
  11. Solemn declaration for competency in English to attend English language courses.
  12. Two letters of recommendation (sent directly by the authors).
  13. Evidence of professional/research activities, such as publications (mandatory if they are mentioned).
  14. Photocopy of two sides of the Police Identity Card (or Passport).

 

Announcement of results – Objections

The results of the evaluation of candidates are announced within 10 working days after the completion of the procedure, with the order of ranking being approved by the Departmental Assembly (DA) on the recommendation of the Steering Committee (SC). Objections may be submitted within five working days of the announcement of the results, which are examined by the SC and confirmed by the DA.

Acceptance of admission selection

Successful candidates are invited to register within 30 days of the announcement, with ties being covered by a maximum of 10% of the places. In the event of non-registration, runners-up will be invited in order of ranking. Late registration may be accepted only in exceptional circumstances.

Initial Registration – Renewals

At the initial registration, within a specified deadline, students submit additional documents:

●      Statement of personal data on a form (and electronic file) provided by the Secretary.

●      A certified photocopy of police identity card.

●     One (1) colour passport type photograph.

●      During the initial registration, the MSc secretary creates an electronic Postgraduate Student Card.

The registration is renewed at the beginning of each semester, Students who do not renew their registration on time are deleted. In the 3rd semester, the renewal of registration is accompanied by the submission of a thesis proposal, approved by the AC and the supervising professor, for the undertaking of the thesis.
