Tuition-Free Studies

The Postgraduate Program offers free tuition studies for students from EU countries, in exchange for additional teaching work at the Department. Students actively participate in teaching and laboratory activities, gaining valuable practical experience.

Modern Specializations

The Master of Science (MSc) offers three specializations: 1.Networks & Multimedia, 2.Software Technology & Applications, and 3.Intelligent Systems & Computer Architecture. The choice of specialization is optional and is indicated in the Diploma Supplement.

Ability for Obtaining a Double Degree

The Master of Science (MSc) offers the opportunity to obtain a double degree in collaboration with the Université de Bourgogne (France), with courses at both institutions and participation in European programs. The degrees concern specializations in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision.

Fast Vocational Rehabilitation

A survey of graduates highlighted the positive impact of the MSc on their professional career. Most reported an improvement in their work or earnings, while the program is highly recommended for enhancing qualifications and academic or research continuity.

Recognized Diploma

The MSc awards a Postgraduate Diploma in “Informatics Engineering” officially approved by the Ministry of Education. To obtain the MSc, it is mandatory to accumulate ninety (90) ECTS credits. The title is awarded by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Hellenic Mediterranean University (ELMEPA) and is signed by the Director of the MSc and the Rector of ELMEPA. The awarded MSc is classified at level 7 of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). MSc graduates have the opportunity to continue their studies at doctoral level (EQF 8), if they so wish.

Candidates

The Master’s Program accepts up to 25 candidates per academic year. Candidates must hold a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized higher education institution. Candidates with different degrees are also welcome, provided that they have advanced ICT skills.
Currently, the Program does not accept candidates from countries outside the European Union.

On March 7, 2025, the Master of Science in Computer Engineering received official accreditation from the Hellenic National Authority for Higher Education (NHAE), following evaluation by an External Evaluation Committee and approval by the NHAE Evaluation and Accreditation Council (48th meeting, topic 2).
