Mobility – Collaborations with other Universities

The Master of Science in Computer Engineering does not include, by design, an Internship as a mandatory part of its studies. However, after the completion of the first year of studies (which includes teaching courses), the Master of Science supports and enhances student mobility through optional activities. These actions aim to link postgraduate studies more closely with both the labor market and the academic community in Greece and abroad.

According to the Study Regulations of the Postgraduate Program, postgraduate students may, with the approval of the Coordinating Committee (CC), complete teaching units from postgraduate courses in other departments of the same or other institutions, either in Greece or abroad. In addition, students of the Hellenic Mediterranean University, regardless of their course of study, as a member of the ATHENA partnership (https://athenauni.eu/) have the opportunity to travel to the headquarters of the collaborating Universities for internships.

Mobility for Continuing Studies at Partner Institutions

In the context of mobility, the MSc collaborates with the University of Burgundy (uB) to offer joint postgraduate studies leading to the acquisition of a double master’s degree (Double Degree). Furthermore, through the ATHENA partnership, students of the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) have the opportunity to travel to the campuses of collaborating universities to carry out internships. Mobility for Internship Abroad

The students of the MSc have the opportunity to participate in the European Erasmus+ program and carry out an internship for up to 12 months in collaborating institutions abroad. The mobility procedures are referred to in the Mobility Regulation of the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), which is available on the website of IKY – Mobility for Practical Training.

It is recommended that students complete the internship towards the end of their studies, in order to enhance its contribution to their integration into the labor market. Interested students should contact the Mobility Coordinator of the Department of EMH. The Coordinator, in collaboration with the International Relations Office of HMU, provides guidance for the completion of the necessary procedures Student Mobility for Internship Abroad.

Mobility through ATHENA

ELMEPA, as a member of the ATHENA (Advanced Technology Higher Education Network Alliance) partnership, offers students various opportunities:

  • Internship or Thesis at collaborating universities.
  • Virtual Mobility through online courses designed specifically for this purpose.

The ATHENA partnership includes institutions from nine European countries and focuses on providing high-quality, international education, tailored to the needs of the global market. (Read more link International Partnerships)
